Cammy's Baby's Blessing
We had two nice days back to back last weekend with Jack's Baptism on Saturday and Cammy and Abel's baby's blessing on Sunday. Cambel is a beautiful baby and their family looks so happy. Abel looked proud, Cammy bore her testimony, and Dad gave a nice blessing.
There were two surprises for the day when we walked into church. The first was that Mr. Randy was there. Randy and his wife, Phyllis came to the blessing. He was happy and nice to everyone, and was glad to see Mom and Dad. All of us were happy to see him, too. He told Laurie during the song, I Know That My Redeemer Lives, that he always loved that song.
Mike, on the other hand, when singing that song, sang the words, "he lives.....to hear my wife's complaint," which caught me off guard and, of course, made me laugh.
The second surprise was on the choir stand. Heidi Luedtke was sitting there! Heidi is in Cammy's ward. Heidi was so nice and talked to everyone afterward. She talked about Michelle and Erin and how much fun they were, and all the good memories she had of our home. It was fun to see Heidi again, and remember what an amazing person she was and has always been. And, Dad had a good time remembering her basketball games and running days.
Afterward, we went to a park across from Cammy and Abel's home for lunch. Their friends from there ward came too, and all the cousins had fun at the little playground. We had a great day with Laurie and her girls. They are always full of funny stories, and they all tease each other, and Laurie, too. All of them are doing a good job with their children, and have always been good sisters to one another. Laurie really does have a great family and all of us were happy for Cammy and Abel.

I love that you called surprise #1 "Mr." Randy. And I laughed outloud when I read that his wife's name is Phyllis, because I immediately thought of Phyllis on Office trying to pump a balloon! Anyway, another very nice post. It looks like everyone had a great time! That's a crack up about Heidi Luedtke in Cammy's ward!
Yes, her name is Phyllis. I should have asked her if she watched The Office.
I don't know the episode when she pumps up a balloon, AND...I missed Thursdays episode because we were at Disneyland.
Listen to this, I had my camera at Disneyland but SOMEONE took the memory card out so I had six pictures, and that was all.
So maddening, and today SOMEONE has now lost the memory card. Gone, disappeared, Poof!
And no one knows a thing. Heidi and Roy are coming over today so I wanted to take pictures, and yesterday we went to The Pumpkin Patch!
Oh well. I should put this on tomorrow's Monday Mourning Mounting Anger and Complaint List.
Is it your turn to host Monday? I think it is. Or you can always pass it on to Mary.
This is your son Jake, Hi. I just made a blog so I could leave you comments and possibly get mine up and running soon. Great pictures. I loved the donut story!
